Welcome to Northern New Hampshire's White Mountains and Great North Woods.  On this site you will find information about one of the best places on earthe to visit or to live-the Northern White Mountains of New Hampshire.  Adjacent to Mt. Washington and nestled amidst two of New Hampshire's most scenic regions:  The White Mountains and The Great North Woods, the area offers something for everyone. 

 

If you enjoy outdoor recreation, you will find endless trails to explore in all four seasons.  The region offers hiking and cycling for all ability levels.  In the winter, experience pristine landscapes from snowshoes, cross-country skis or snowmibiles.  Our rivers offer excellent canoeing and kayaking.  Camping, climbing, fishing and hunting opportunities abound.

 

We are centrally located to several of the famous White Mountains Attractions, and within a one-hour drive of eight major downhill ski areas and hundreds of kilometers of groomed cross-country trails.  Vast networks of snowmobile trails are groomed by local clubs.
